Art Expo 2018: Worth a Thousand Words

Banner Competition

In anticipation of the upcoming 2018 Autism Art Expo, we are holding a banner design contest that will help visualize the Expo's theme - Worth a Thousand Words.

Artists with ASD and related disabilities from Indiana are invited to submit. The winner’s art and name will be featured on all of the promotional materials leading up to and during the expo.

A winning banner will be:

  • A unique visual representation of the 2018 Art Expo "Worth a Thousand Words"
  • Creative, interesting, and tell a story
    • Eligibility

      • Open to all artists with ASD and related disorders
      • No age limitations, but permission of a parent or guardian for underage artists is required
      • The art should be original and belong to the individual submitting it.
      • Multiple entries are encouraged (if more than 3 submissions, you may need to fill out the submission form again
      • All submissions are also eligible for the expo


      The submitted banner design will be shared on our webiste and social media (e.g., Facebook) and community members will be asked to cast their votes.


      By entering the 2018 Art Expo Banner Competition, you are granting HANDS in Autism® a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on our website, social media, and newsletters, and in the marketing of the art competitions to the general public. Artworks will not be used for any other purpose than that which is stated here. The winning entry(s) will be displayed on website, social media, and downloadable and printed promotional materials. Each entry becomes part of the public archival context catalog. It can be removed at a later date upon request.
